On seeing me in my hoops and Femme Luxe get up, Theon exclaimed: “Mum you can’t wear those earrings, you’re not a woman, you’re just a mum!” Thanks kiddo! I try to be a fearless femme, but truth is sometimes all I want is to be just mum-guilt free, hoops optional!

It’s always nice when my Femme Luxe orders arrive. With lockdown however that little bit of joy is heightened. It’s the perfect excuse to get out of my PJ’s and feel a bit extra!
My favourite outfit from this months haul is the Black ‘Fearless Femme’ tee (was £16.98 now £8.99) that I’ve paired with black cargo, slim fit trouser (was £37.98, now £18.99). My hair is getting quite long, having not seen a hairdressers in over 2 months! But along with the added highlights of this summery spring, it looks great contrast against the black.
To add a splash of colour I accessorised my look with my burgundy, birthday trainers. They’re everything! I live to wear them! Plus they match perfectly with my simple, translucent framed sunnies.
For makeup and bling I’ve kept it very simple with a big hoop and mute tones on the slap. I’ve used a naked peach lip gloss from Smashbox paired with my favourite velvet Teddy lip liner by Mac.
Lockdown Low
I’m not gonna lie, the past two weeks especially have been pretty rough. I’m craving our yearly Easter jaunts to Greece and late nights on the beach. So, even though travel for this year has been cancelled, I decided that didn’t mean my holiday wardrobe had to follow. To give me a pick me up I requested the Black Cape Extreme Sleeve Bodycon Mini Dress (was £39.98 now £18.99) and the Orange Bow Tie High Waisted Bikini Bottoms (was £17.98, now from £8.99)
This bodycon is the perfect LBD. Getting that balance of mum friendly and fashion fresh spot on. It’s sexy and fierce, but still discrete: subtly covering up the ole bingo wings. It also looks great paired down with jeans. Ultimately though, being a mum on a budget, Femme Luxe is affordable fashion and I love it!
