Quick Bake : Biscuits

These quick bake biscuits are absolutely fool proof. If I can make them believe me, then even your dog could! Vegan and with only 3 ingredients you are sure to have what you need, already in the cupboards. Making them the perfect isolation snack.

Why not get the kids involved and add it into your days homeschooling activities. To make these quick bake biscuits you will need the following ingredients.

Ingredients

100g magarine (or butter)

150g self-raising flour

50g caster sugar

Method

Very similar to the way you’d make a crumble; mix together all your ingredients with a fork.

Once they mix starts to come away from the bowl and form in the middle, roll up your sleeves and use your hands to knead the mix, until it all comes together in one ball.

Next grease a flat oven tray. and pre heat the over to 180 degrees C.

Now take your mix and divide it up into 12-16 small balls. Place the balls of biscuit dough on to the baking tray. Make sure that they are well spaced, before lightly pressing them down with a fork.

In the picture above I’ve set P the task of pressing the biscuit dough and so had her lay them out on to the chopping board, before fixing them myself. The trick to getting an even biscuit is to not over squish the dough!

Finally, pop your quick bake biscuit dough in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Just enough time to pop the kettle on and make a brew.

Enjoy!
