Our latest Christmas hack is a pet advent calendar. Inspired by the fact that Baloo takes a daily supplement and the children are now allowed daily doses of chocolate. I wanted to find a safe and non toxic way for my fur child to join in the Christmas cheer.

For transparency this is not a paid AD but, I have previously been gifted the supplement contained in this hack. No other items are promotional.

What You’ll Need

I’ve gathered together a selection of vet approved treats as well as Baloo’s daily Antinol capsule. To give you some inspo, I’m going to list Baloo’s snack/treat allowances:

•Carrots: Baloo is allowed 2 a week.

•Dental Stick: Baloo has a Greenies dental chew every other day.

•1 small doggy biscuit per day.

•Chewy Treat Stick: 2x Orlando beefy chew per week

•We’ve also hidden a few chew toys in her advent pockets too (never leave dogs to play with these unattended though).

How To Make A Pet Advent Calendar

Being careful not to pierce the blister packs we chopped the strip of supplement capsules up so each one could be placed in a pocket, but still packaged.

Next we popped in a carrot for every third day of the week and every second day of the week we added a dental chew.

For every day we added a small dog biscuit and then on alternate days to the carrots we put the beefy, doggy chew sticks.
