Five Minute Meals: Pizza Toast

The only key (unchanging) ingredient for this dish is the tomato sauce, made by mixing

  • 1 cup of Pummaro
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 1 tea spoon of oregano
  • 1 table spoon of olive oil

The great thing about making pizza toast (other than the fact its quick and easy) is that you can adapt it to suit anyone.

  • Bread:
    Make with white, whole grain, gluten free etc depending on your dietary needs
  • Use dairy free cheese slices to make this dish vegan friendly
  • Try a selection of any veg and/or meats that take your fancy – our favourite toppings are mushrooms, peppers, red onions & pepperoni,


  • Set your oven to 250 deg C (no need to grill)
  • Line a baking tray with baking paper
  • Lay the bread on to your baking tray
  • Take a couple table spoons of the tomato sauce (per slice) and spread generously over each piece of bread
  • Evenly scatter your veg/meat toppings across each slice
  • Top with cheese
  • Bake for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly crisp at the edges
